The Realty Watch Program is built on the belief that community safety is a shared responsibility. Since 1995, Fraser Valley REALTORS® have partnered with local police to use their mobility, community presence, and awareness to assist police in time-sensitive situations involving lost, missing, or vulnerable individuals. When we work together, we help protect those most in need and strengthen the bond of care across our communities.

How It Works

  • Police request alert
When police are managing a time-critical situation, such as a missing child or a vulnerable adult, they can request help through the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board.
  • REALTORS® receive fan-out text
Once the request is received, the FVREB Communications team activates a Realty Watch fan-out. This sends a text message to thousands of REALTORS® across the Fraser Valley with the key information provided by police.
  • REALTOR® calls 911 if they see or hear anything
If a REALTOR® sees or hears anything that could assist, they immediately contact 911 to share what they know.

Real Impact Across the Fraser Valley

Today, more than 5,000 REALTORS® across the Fraser Valley are part of the Realty Watch network. Within 30 minutes of an alert, this network is mobilized to watch out for a missing or vulnerable person and report information directly to police. Realty Watch is a reflection of what happens when

we work together with a shared purpose to care for one another with a commitment to community that goes far beyond real estate.
