This year’s REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive will be unlike any other. Instead of collecting clothing or blankets, we’re asking our members and their offices to make financial donations in support of some of the most vulnerable people in our Fraser Valley communities.

This will allow us to continue to help the 26 non-profit groups we have supported in the past and the people they care for while protecting our partners – over 60 volunteer members and 40 real estate brokerages acting as drop-off locations – from the potential safety risks posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our charity groups truly appreciate the support.

Giving is a few clicks away

It’s easy to donate to the 2020 REALTORS Care® Charity Drive – and you don’t have to wait until the Canadian Real Estate Association’s REALTORS Care® week, (November 23 to 27) to do so. We’ve set up a new campaign page through Charitable Impact, a Vancouver-based registered charity that helps people across Canada and groups like us pool their charitable giving funds so the collected money can be distributed to other registered Canadian charities.

Start giving today following these easy steps:

  1. To get to our campaign page, point your browser to: https://my.charitableimpact.com/campaigns/realtors-care-blanket-drive

2. Click on the tab called Giving Groups supporting this Campaign.

3. View the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board Giving Group so the funds you donate will be tracked and shared with Fraser Valley-area non-profit groups following our campaign. (Note: Our partner the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver will have their own Giving Group for their members to make donations, so please be sure to choose FVREB.)

4. Click on the blue Give button and fill out the form that appears to indicate how much you would like to give.

We encourage donations from Realtors and offices across our entire region. And by all means, please share our fundraising campaign with your clients.

When you support the campaign, you could earn exclusive swag like a REALTORS Care® mask and a unique digital badge to share on your websites, email signatures, and in your social media feeds. We’ll provide more details on these incentives as soon as they are finalized with our partner, the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV).

Donations of $5 or more will receive a tax receipt from Charitable Impact on behalf of the REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive. Note: Tax receipts will be issued based on the donation amount. Non-profit groups receiving funds from Charitable Impact will receive the amount of the donation minus any credit card processing fees charged to Charitable Impact.
